During the class, we explore in a workshop manner selected positions from the I series of Ashtanga to prepare the body for them and deepen them safely and avoid injury through a variety of techniques. We begin with a warm-up and Surya Namaskar A and B, and then move on to the workshop portion. We chant the opening and closing mantras at the beginning and end of the class, further reinforcing the benefits of the practice. We will pay even more attention to proper alignment in the asanas so that nothing interferes with your Ashtanga Yoga practice. In class, we practice with the camera on. The repetition, rhythmicity and breath in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice makes it one of the most effective ways to achieve full health and energy. It is a kind of “meditation in motion.” What is important is basically “just and until” regular practice. With yoga, you will achieve natural mobility. However, you need to be attentive to your needs, with great patience, performing asanas to the best of your ability, never over! Don't worry though, I teach Ashtanga progressively - which means that beginners are welcome in my classes as well. Every practice is a journey into yourself. It's worth preparing for this journey well - to calm down, to give yourself time.
